Copyright Infringement Notice

DevToolbox respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using the DevToolbox website.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on DevToolbox infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agent that includes all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work — describe the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or provide a list of works if multiple works are covered by a single notification.
  2. Identification of the infringing content — identify the material on DevToolbox that you claim is infringing and provide sufficient information for us to locate it (e.g., the specific URL or page).
  3. Your contact information — provide your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Statement of good faith — include the following statement: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
  5. Statement of accuracy — include the following statement: "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
  6. Signature — provide your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-Notification Process

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with our designated agent that includes:

  1. Identification of the removed content — identify the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it previously appeared.
  2. Your contact information — provide your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  3. Statement of good faith — include the following statement: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled."
  4. Consent to jurisdiction — include a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which DevToolbox may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notification.
  5. Signature — provide your physical or electronic signature.

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA, DevToolbox has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts or access of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the Site or terminate the access of any users who infringe the intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

Good Faith

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages. Do not make false claims. If you are unsure whether content infringes your copyright, consider seeking legal advice before submitting a DMCA notice.
